How does the justice system work? Who does it work for? Does the justice system treat all Americans equally? Two local groups are partnering to offer some answers to these questions in a free webinar to take place on February 4th, 2021 at 6:30 p.m.

The project is the first “Community Dialogue” sponsored by the Santa Maria chapter of Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ), a national network of people who teach, learn, and work together to end systemic racism in American institutions. SURJ is partnering with the Racial Justice Committee (RJC) of the Santa Barbara County Public Defender Office. The event will feature lawyers who work as public defenders.
